Filevine and QuickBooks Online Through Disbo

For applicable customers, Disbo can use supported Filevine matter context in a controlled settlement-disbursement workflow and synchronize supported records with QuickBooks Online. Both advertised connections are available, but exact entities, fields, accounts, classes, payees, attachments, and posting behavior must be confirmed in configuration. Filevine does not post directly to QuickBooks Online in this design.

Supported Filevine context enters Disbo. The firm controls the disbursement in Disbo, which uses its configured QuickBooks Online connection to synchronize supported accounting records for review.

Software-specific operating model
QuickBooks Online uses API-accessible accounting entities and company-specific lists. A reliable implementation defines how Disbo resolves those entities rather than assuming names alone create a safe match.
Names, payees, and matter references
The implementation should define supported vendor, customer, or other name handling; how matter identifiers appear; and what happens when a match is absent, inactive, duplicated, or edited in QuickBooks Online.
Posting and response
The configured trigger determines when Disbo creates or updates a supported accounting record. Available identifiers or status can be retained for review, while QuickBooks Online remains authoritative for the posted books.

Connect the supported Filevine organization and intended QuickBooks Online company with appropriately limited authorized access.

Map and gate the posting
Confirm matter matching, supported QBO entity and account references, required review state, posting trigger, and duplicate-prevention behavior.

Review the returned result
Assign staff to review created records, source edits, connection errors, closed-period issues, and reconciliation exceptions in the proper system.

- API permissions, throttling, disconnected authorization, locked periods, inactive lists, and source edits can affect synchronization.
- Disbo does not determine the correct accounting treatment or cure inaccurate Filevine or QuickBooks Online source data.

Yes, they are advertised as available for applicable customers. The exact records and workflow still require supported configuration and validation.
Does Filevine send accounting entries directly to QuickBooks Online?
No. Disbo is the intermediary workflow and synchronization layer between the separately configured connections.
Can every QuickBooks Online field be mapped?
Not necessarily. Entity, field, attachment, and custom-configuration support must be confirmed for the scoped workflow.
What happens if a synchronized record is wrong?
The firm should pause or correct the workflow according to its procedures, resolve the source or mapping issue in the owning system, and verify the resulting books and matter history.
