Built by an operator who lived inside this problem for a decade.
Nathan Sumekh — Founder & CEO, Disbo
The short version
Nathan Sumekh is a second-time operator building Disbo after a near nine-figure exit from Legal Soft in 2025. He has personally built operational infrastructure inside more than 1,000 personal injury law firms and 150 medical offices — the exact customer base Disbo serves today.
Legal Soft (2021–2025)
In 2021, Nathan co-founded Legal Soft alongside Hamid Kohan. The first six months produced less than $3,000 in total sales — Nathan went door-to-door generating revenue. By 2025, the company was doing roughly $70M in annual revenue, with 1,500+ active law firm clients across 14+ practice areas and 4,000+ trained remote legal professionals placed across the U.S.
Nathan sold his majority stake in 2025 in one of the most significant exits in the legal virtual staffing sector. He retains an ongoing relationship with the company and the customer base he helped build.
The dual vantage point
Nathan didn't just sell software to PI firms — he ran one. He still operates an employment law firm and was previously the founder of Simply Legal, a nationwide lemon law practice.
He has reconciled trust accounts. He has managed medical lien payouts. He has experienced the pain of paper checks firsthand.
He was also the founding investor in Staffing for Doctors and previously built and sold Med Virtual — placing him on the medical provider side of the same transaction. It was through that work that he watched medical offices process roughly 40 paper checks a day, by hand, with no software built for the disbursement side of a settlement.
Why Disbo
After a decade inside this ecosystem, Nathan saw the same workflow break in firm after firm: checks printed and mailed, lien ledgers maintained in spreadsheets, trust accounts reconciled by hand at month-end, and no digital infrastructure connecting law firms to the medical providers waiting on payment. CTAPP-style audits were spreading state by state, and the early audits found 83–89% deficiency rates in the areas Disbo automates.
Disbo is the automation of everything Legal Soft staffed people to do manually. It's purpose-built for the compliance demands of personal injury practice, so the last mile of a case runs as cleanly as the rest of it.
